I think I've always been how I am. I just didn't have the words for it until I was older. I co-founded my high school's Gay Straight Alliance as a teen and I think that it ultimately helped me to be a part of a community that could understand some of what I was going through.

I think top surgery definitely helped make me feel more at home in myself.
